Meadow Cottage is a lovely, particularly spacious detached cottage which sleeps six (plus a cot) in a quiet location, nestled in 21 acres of idyllic countryside surrounded by lush green fields and trees. Ideal for getting away from it all! However nearby there is much to do and see all year round. It has been recently converted into a 4 star self catering holiday cottage near Ashbourne and is owner maintained and cared for.
Meadow Cottage is set on Shawley Farm a non-working farm, well away from the nearest road. Located in the Derbyshire 
Dales it is ideally situated to explore Derbyshire and Staffordshire. The village of Roston and the surrounding area is nicely positioned in quiet country lanes, yet is convenient for the A50, which is 10 miles away. Ashbourne is only 7 miles away and Alton Towers 6 miles. Meadow Cottage offers peace and quiet for couples, yet is a haven for children too.
Meadow Cottage is also ideal for those with differing abilities, the cottage is accessed into the large kitchen by a single step, and a ramp is available. The kitchen, large lounge/dining room, bathroom and main bedroom are all on one level making for easy access. The second and third bedrooms are twin rooms accessed by two small steps. The cottage is very warm having double glazing and full oil fired central heating. Meadow Cottage is, of course, a no smoking holiday cottage.
